‘A Fuego Y A Fondo’ sees Artificio’s cofounders, Pasq (fka Arcane Prospect) and Rainmaker, take their sound in bold new directions with a four-track EP that mixes raw energy with sharp, forward-thinking production.

Kicking off with ‘Midas Touch’, Rainmaker blends his techno and ambient roots with fresh ideas, setting the tone for what’s to come—deep basslines and rich atmospheres that hint at his past while pushing into new territory.

Pasq follows with ‘Sin Perse’ and ‘Randy’, where intricate sound design, distorted rhythms, and heavy bass are combined with a touch of dark humor. The EP closes with ‘Amour Fou’, a “hyperbass” track, filled with both longing and optimism, echoing a desire for transformation.

After DJing ...]]> Noise Casino debuts on Artificio with ‘Pa’, a three-track EP that pushes the boundaries of club music.

‘Pa’ EP marks a significant step in Noise Casino’s sonic evolution, weaving a cohesive narrative through a blend of bass-heavy beats, broken rhythms, and intricate percussions capturing the essence of his Colombian roots while channeling contemporary club influences.

After DJing around Colombia for several years, mainly based in Bogotá and his native Manizales, the musical project of Sergio F., known recently as Noise Casino, has migrated from the Andean mountains to the Black Forest of Southern Germany, and Berlin.

After releasing a couple of EPs and singles under different monikers, a pandemic, and a two-year hiatus from music, Sergio’s project is back on course with track appearances on Martyn’s 3024 imprint and Colombian powerhouses Artificio and Furatena, showcasing a more mature sound technically and a whole new creative music canvas. Sergio is also the co-founder of RUTA, a party series and now music label promoting electronic music from the diasporas in Germany.

‘Pa’ EP opens with its namesake track, a dark, immersive journey driven by distorted bass lines and dynamic percussive elements. ‘Siquiera’ follows, layering nostalgic samples from Colombian cinema and commercials over a textured soundscape, creating a deeply resonant and resourceful composition. The EP concludes with ‘Triple A’, a high-energy track that fuses propulsive beats with Latin percussion, designed to ignite the dance floor. Each track showcases Noise Casino’s innovative approach, delivering a fresh and captivating experience in the realm of experimental club music.

Ripio adds percussive elements with a subtle and hypnotic ...]]> Among a flurry of voices, Rasgar presents ‘Intersticios Remixes’, five reinterpretations from MALO2K, Ripio, Entrañas, Rainmaker and CRRDR, the five Latin American artists that fit into Artificio‘s diverse and exciting sonic universe.

MALO2K opens with his unmistakable vibe through modern rhythms that have been rocking dance floors. Ripio adds percussive elements with a subtle and hypnotic slow-burn style. The mighty Entrañas gives a syncopated breath of more appreciative Andean and folkloric melodies, while Rainmaker smashes with his fervent version, turning up the pace and intensity of the EP that ends in ecstasy ready to rock anyone. Closing, CRRDR delivers an intermittent track that combines exuberant pads and complex riffs that converge in a remix where speed provides tension and euphoria.

Through field recordings captured by his cell phone and accompanying the recording process with his SP-404SX, the creation of pads and sound ...]]> ‘Incendios’ is the second release from Artificio and Andrés Hernández’s, a.k.a. Rainmaker, debut album. Here he creates an exhilarating labyrinth of blackouts and breaks that invites the listener to savor both harmony and dissonance.

Through field recordings captured by his cell phone and accompanying the recording process with his SP-404SX, the creation of pads and sound design in Ableton, Rainmaker resorts to environmental sounds from Medellín and relies on vocals in Spanish. This allows ‘Incendios’ album to begin with a colloquial message about the country’s street fruit vendors, who day by day roam the neighborhoods, letting percussion and environmental ascents intersect and entangle in an awakening with the voices of Sarah Jaramillo and his ex-boss, in ‘Sótanos’ the most personal track on the album, inspired by bad work experiences in an office in a small basement.

The most critical moments come in the last tracks, recorded and composed while the country was in protests against the government. The voices of the young marchers, the blow of stun bombs, and the infinite sound of the cacerolazos, show the rumbling of a city that was on fire and cried out for help. This is reflected in the track we are presenting now, ‘Todo lo que quema + Purifica’, where he transitions from worldliness to something pure after a transition of illumination in ‘Zenith’, perceiving the calm of a rain and the poetic voice of Talvezmanuela. All this being guarded by a sharp and intimidating rhythm that questions defeat.

The same happens when the fight or flight response arrives: adrenaline flows and perception connects, marking a behavior of emotional intensity that creates transitions; like the one that is reflected in Rainmaker, supported by a context of protest experienced in Colombia during the composition of ‘Incendios’.” – Rainmaker
