Reci nam nešto o sebi. Kako si i kada ušao u svijet DJ-iranja i produciranja?

Bok, ja sam Klanglos, njemački sam techno producent, DJ i diskograf. Svoje sam trake počeo producirati prije više od deset godina kada mi je prijatelj pokazao softver Fruity Loops. Ispočetka sam radio hip-hop beatove, ali sam se zaljubio u techno nakon odlaska na prve partyje s tom muzikom. Pokušao sam producirati vlastite trake pa sam otkrio novi producentski softver Ableton Live. Njime radim otada, i proveo sam godine producirajući trake i otkrivajući techno scenu u Njemačkoj, a onda me je i prijatelj pozvao da vrtim na nekim rođendanima. Moji prvi gigovi u klubovima su bili na vlastitim partyjima, a moje su mi produkcije pomogle doprijeti do mnogo više slušatelja.

Koja ideja stoji iza stvaranja albuma?

Ideja iza mojega novog albuma imena “The Breakdown” je stvoriti široku kolekciju različitih traka koje su uglavnom atmosferične i pustiti publici da sama za sebe interpretira priču u svakoj produkciji. Bilo mi je važno da u studiju izrazim sav svoj potencijal i sve to sakupim na album, stoga sam i odlučio na njega staviti 24 trake. Počinje vrlo mekanim zvukom i ima mnogo melodičnih elemenata i klasičnih instrumenata. Prema kraju postaje sve teži i brži, s acid i psy-trance elementima i vokalima.

Koja ti je najdraža traka na albumu?

Najviše volim naslovnu, “After The Breakdown”.

Kako si smiksao ovaj ekskluzivni mix albuma za Klubikon? Kako se razlikuje od samog albuma?

Ovaj je mix kao putovanje kroz album i moju muziku, glatkog početka i snažnoga kraja.

Što misliš o konceptu albuma u ovim modernim vremenima u kojima ljudi muziku primarno streamaju online?

Streamanje je danas vrlo važno i stoga je, po meni, dobro imati mnogo traka. Slušatelj može čuti mnoštvo različitih traka kroz koje izražavam svoj producentski potencijal.

Kako si provodio vrijeme tijekom karantene zbog koronavirusa?

Trudio sam se i trudim se provoditi što je više vremena moguće u studiju. Trenutno sam zauzet radom na nekim novim projektima, primjerice konstruiram svoj live set.

Što ti najviše nedostaje od nastupanja?

Nedostaje mi partijanje s mojim crewom Bassgeflüster i često gubljenje u muzici koja svira.

Nastupao si diljem Njemačke. Koji ti je najdraži njemački klub ili festival i zašto?

Moj omiljeni njemački festival je Nature One. To je najveći elektronički festival u zemlji. To je kao veliki obiteljski party s puno prijatelja.

Tell us about yourself? How and when did you get into DJ-ing and producing music?

Hello I’m Klanglos. I’m a German techno producer, DJ and label owner. I started producing my own tracks more than ten years ago when a friend showed me the producing software Fruity Loops. At first I made hip hop Beats and after the first techno parties I went to, I fell in love with this sound. So I tried to produce my own tracks and discovered a new production software which is called Ableton Live. I work with it since then and I have spent years producing tracks and discovering the techno scene here in Germany when a friend asked me to play it at some birthday celebrations. My first gigs in the clubs were at my own parties and my productions helped me a lot reaching more and more listeners over the years.

What’s the idea behind the album’s creation?

The idea behind my new album with the title ‘The Breakdown’ is to have a large collection of different tracks that are mostly atmospheric and let the audience interpret their own story in every single production. It was important for me to express my whole potential in the studio and get everything together in this album, that’s why I decided to put 24 tracks on it. At the beginning the sound is quite soft with a lot of melodic elements and classic instruments. To the end, it gets much harder and faster with some acid, psy-trance elements and vocals.

What is your personal favourite track from the album?

For me it’s the title track ‘After the Breakdown’ I like the most.

How did you mix this exclusive album mix for Klubikon? How is it different from the album itself?

This mix is like a journey through this album and my music. With a smooth beginning and strong ending.

What do you think of the album concept in modern times when people mainly only stream music online?

Streaming is very important nowadays. That’s why the amount of tracks is very good in my opinion. The listener can hear a lot of different tracks in which I express my whole potential in producing.

How do you spend your time during this testing coronavirus lockdown?

I try to spend as much of my time in the studio as possible during the lockdown.

At the moment I am very busy working on some new projects for example my live set up.

What do you miss about performing the most?

I miss partying with the crowd, my Bassgeflüster Crew and getting lost into music a lot.

You performed all over Germany. What is your favourite German club or festival and why?

My favourite festival here in Germany is Nature One. It’s the biggest of electronic music festival here. It’s like a big, familiar party with many friends.
