After having released outstanding records on labels such as Running Back, Rawax, Burial Soil, Vakant, Avoidant, Dred, Science Cult, Lone Romantic and their own Time Zero imprint, the seminal Berlin machine funk duo launched their analog spaceship studio once again to tell their most advanced and versatile intergalactic tale to date, ‘Escaping Earth’.

‘Escaping Earth’ is a story that comes in eight episodes and showcases Sami Sahraoui and Pascal Hetzel mastered skills in detailed sound design and arrangement, while always keeping a focus on powerful dancefloor oriented electro grooves. Ranging from Detroit influenced bassline bouncers to slower acid variations, this album will let you dive deeply into CYRK’s beautiful musical language and range: a soulful journey from the light to the darkness and back. Above all, this album is at all times pure analog electronic funk and won’t let you go from beginning to end. Sometimes escaping helps. This musical story will make you travel the stars with ease.

We are presenting the sixth track ‘Moon Of The Unforgotten’.

‘Escaping Earth’ album is pressed on DJ friendly 2 x 12″ vinyl and includes a download copy. A limited edition of 100 numbered copies comes in double colored red and green records and is exclusively sold via CHILDHOOD’s Bandcamp as well as the CLONE store. Vinyl is available from September 13th, followed by the digital release on September 24th which will be available HERE.

We present you the hypnotic title track “If This World”, loaded with tasty chunks of classic 90’s craft:

A juicy liquid bassline is about to control your hips, disciplined by a choppin’ rhythm and peppered with sensual soulful vocals, cut-up in retro-style. Milking the essence of disco, but staying true to the minimalistic approach of house, Buba managed to invoke the raw electronic surge just to humanize it through funk/soul heat.

]]> PREMIERE: Buba servira senzualan house “If This World” na The Purr Music https://klubikon.com/2017/02/04/premiere-buba-servira-senzualan-house-world-na-purr-music/ Sat, 04 Feb 2017 20:59:31 +0000 http://k.gnp.si/k/?p=9194 Za razliku od techna koji je oduvijek imao težnju inzistirati na svojoj inovativnosti, house se nikad nije sramio svojih funk/soul i disco korijena. Tako je erotični groove 70-tih dobio svoju novu futurističku inkarnaciju sredinom 80-tih, ovaj put ogoljenu na pulsiranje elektroničkog zvuka. S razvojem tehnologije, te pod utjecajem hip-hop sempliranja, house je u 90-tima počeo ponovno dobivati organski zvuk svojih žanrovskih predaka, ali i zadržao hipnotičku moć minimalizma. Čini se da se žanrovi vraćaju s odmakom od dva desetljeća, pa niti danas nije drugačije…

Čini se da je Buba imao priliku čuti dobru porciju 90’s house klasika. U njegovom stilu ima dosta funka, premda ne zazire niti od deep/tech varijanti zvuka. Porijeklom iz Nikšića u Crnoj Gori, preselio je u Tivat, gdje je tza pultom imao priliku upiti miris Jadrana i ležernost koja lebdi zrakom, pa je taj osjećaj pretočio i u vlastitu produkciju. Danas slušamo naslovnu traku s njegovog nadolazećeg EP-a “If This World”:

Tekuća i gumena bas-linija nosi erotičnu srž trake. Ritam vozi tradicionalni disco groove, koji posjeduje tvrdoću elektroničkog zvuka, ali i organsku sočnost, posebno evidentnu u prijelazima. Senzualni je ženski vokal izrezan po starim pravilima zanata, nastalim u doba kad sempleri nisu nosili puno memorije, ali upravo to oštro kolažiranje pruža slast i oživljava uspomene. Ova minimalistička i hipnotička vožnja precizno izdvaja funky elemente i umata ih u estetiku klasičnog doba housea, kad su baršunasti aranžmani naslijeđeni iz 70-tih kroz moderne efekte dobili nove psihoaktivne note. Bez pretencioznosti, traka će uvući u trans one koji su tek pristigli na podij, a onima koji su već u zanosu pružit će dodatnu injekciju poletne energije.

Na izdanju će se naći i još minimalističnija “Rambade”, koja koja fokus baca na egzotični ritmičku igru, začinjenu pažljivo doziranim dub techno akordima. EP “If This World” izlazi 13.2. na The Purr Music, a moći ćete ga nabaviti na svim boljim digitalnim policama. U međuvremenu, bacite uho i na “All Right” EP, koji je Buba prošle godine izdao na istoj etiketi!
