Myles Sergé returns to his (MS) imprint for a new split EP with Jamie Bissmire.

‘And When the Sky Was Opened’ EP consists of four techno tracks, ‘Transparency Reports’ and ‘And When the Sky Was Opened’ by Myles Sergé, and ‘Signal Folding’ and ‘Algorithmic Censorship’ by Jamie Bissmire.

Myles Sergé founded the Michigan, USA-based vinyl and digital techno label (MS), which mostly focuses on his own original compositions but has also included high-calibre music by artists including Dustin Zahn, Lester Fitzpatrick, Gonzalo MD, Philippe Petit, and Rennie Foster.

Myles Sergé returns with two original works, and his illustrious back catalogue includes appearances on top labels like Zenker Brothers’ Ilian Tape, Dan Curtin’s Metamorphic, Dense & Pika’s Kneaded Pains, and Esther Duijn’s Another Earth, to name only a few.

Experienced producer Jamie Bissmire hails from London, UK. Known as one of Space DJz with Ben Long, he was also a founding member of the seminal ’90s trio Bandulu, who performed at festivals including Glastonbury. In addition to running labels such as Foundation, Ground, and 50Hz, Jamie has also released music on several other labels, including Chris Liebing’s CLR, Damon Wild’s Synewave, Slam’s Soma, Evod Music, and NovaMute.

We are presenting Jamie Bissmire’s ‘Signal Folding’, where he steps into a world of jinking, modular madness. The track has a sense of wonder and underwater exploration with a stripped-back, beatless rhythm and cyclical textures.

(MS) label boss Myles Sergé has curated a new remix package for his ‘FANPRO’ original track, featuring remixes from Toxido Mask, Ackermann, and Myk Derill.

Myles Sergé founded the Michigan, USA-based vinyl and digital techno label (MS), which mostly focuses on his own original compositions but has also included high-caliber music by artists including Dustin Zahn, Lester Fitzpatrick, Gonzalo MD, Philippe Petit, and Rennie Foster.

Myles Sergé’s illustrious back catalogue includes appearances on top labels like Zenker Brothers’ Ilian Tape, Dan Curtin’s Metamorphic, Dense & Pika’s Kneaded Pains, and Esther Duijn’s Another Earth, to name only a few.

Myles Sergé has curated a new remix package for his ‘FANPRO’ original track, featuring remixes from Toxido Mask, Ackermann, and Myk Derill. Alongside the original track, the release includes three alternate takes for good measure: ‘FANPRO v3’, ‘FANPRO (The Classic Version)’, and ‘FANPRO v4’.

We are presenting the remix by Ackermann from Stuttgart. He is an established and very active DJ and producer who has seen his grooving music released on Marco Faraone’s UNCAGE, Scuba’s Hotflush and Who Whom, Radio Slave’s RSPX, Ilario Alicante’s Virgo, and his own Safe Space imprint. Ackermann’s take of ‘FANPRO’ develops the rhythm into a reflective space. The jackin’ percussion and distinct depth create a nostalgic feeling with haunting stabs and crunching claps.
