In comparison with ‘Alpha’ EP, which was all about loopy old school sounding techno, ‘Beta’ EP is taking a ...]]> Following their highly acclaimed ‘Alpha’ EP, released on Pfirter’s MindTrip record label in 2020, Pfirter and Oliver Rosemann are now taking the concept one step further with ‘Beta’ EP on to Pär Grindvik‘s Stockholm LTD record label.

In comparison with ‘Alpha’ EP, which was all about loopy old school sounding techno, ‘Beta’ EP is taking a deeper approach without reducing the raw energy that the two producers are known for.

Oliver Rosemann and Pfirter have spent the last few years honing a unique writing process. The process itself is very simple, “most tracks start with that Oliver records live takes with his machines, then passes these recordings to Pfirter who is in charge of the mixing and arrangement”, as the pair explains. “So far we haven’t done many retakes or even had to revisit the tracks more than a few times”, says Pfirter.

‘177X’ EP is a tense futuristic banger, carefully sculpted and expertly produced, with roots in the 90s. It comes with two remixes – an emotional and powerful masterpiece of sound design by Inigo Kennedy and a minimal gem by Oliver Rosemann that is in its robust simplicity both: hypnotizing and invigorating.

We are presenting a remix from Oliver Rosemann, Leipzig based DJ, producer and one half of the techno duo Dualit.
