Uz veliku pompu Kanye West objavio je svoj dugoočekivani 10. album “Donda”. Universal ga je navodno bez dozvole Kanyea objavio, a na albumu gostuju JAY-Z, The Weeknd, Jay Electronica, Travis Scott, Lil Baby, The Lox, Young Thug i Pop Smoke, a potpisani su i Marilyn Manson i DaBaby.

Kim Ann Foxman – Connection (Luca Lozano Remix)
Luca Lozano remiksirao je traku “Connections” s istoimenog EP-ja Kim Ann Foxman koji izlazi 4. listopada na njezinoj etiketi Firehouse Recordings.

Jedan od najpopularnijih svjetskih festivala Tomorrowland lasirao je etiketu Tomorrowland Music. Prvo izdanje, singl “You Got The Love”, potpisuje duo Never Sleeps koji čine Afrojack i Chico Rose.

Planetary Assault Systems
Britanski techno pionir Luke Slater najavio je sedmi album pod alijsom Planetary Assault Systems, “Sky Scraping”. Album izlazi 15. listopada na belgijskoj etiketi Token Records, a sadržava 10 traka od kojih tri možete poslušati sada.

Cosmic Gate
Svjetski poznati njemački trance DJ duo Cosmic Gate izbacili su prvi dio albuma “MOSAIIK” za Black Hole Recordings. “MOSAIIK” je nastao za vrijeme karantene i označava novo poglavlje za duo jer nije orijentiran samo na plesni podij. “MOSAIIK – Chapter One” sadrži devet traka, a 18. kolovoza predstavili su ga setom u zalazak sunca iz New Yorka.

Jon Hopkins – Sit Around The Fire
Inspiriran iskustvom koje život mijenja, putovanjem u spilju Cueva de los Tayos u ekvadorskim Andama, britanski glazbenik Jon Hopkins objavljuje album “Music For Psychedelic Therapy”. Album, koji u studenom izlazi na etiketi Domino, Jon opisuje kao “spoj muzike, prirode i moje želje za izlječenjem”. Pogledajte službeni video za pjesmu “Sit Around The Fire”.

ABBA
Nakon dugih 40 godina švedske pop ikone ABBA najavili su album “Voyage” s kojeg su objavili dva singla “I Still Have Faith in You” i “Don’t Shut Me Down”.

Namito, Guila Loy – Fountain Of Life (Butane & Riko Forinson Final Form Remix)
Berlinska etiketa Bar 25 Music objavila je remiks EP “Relentless” koji je Namito objavio 22. siječnja ove godine. Remikseve su potpisali njegovi prijatelji Stimmhalt, Phonique, NU, Israel Vich, Butane, Riko Forinson, GuyOhm i Fairplay, a Klubikon je premijerno predstavio “Final Form Remix” verziju pjesme “Fountain Of Life” za koji su snage udružili Butane & Riko Forinson.

Force Mass Motion – Hung Drawn And Slaughtered
Legenda britanske rave scene, pionir hardcore i breakbeat zvuka Force Mass Motion izbacio je traku “Hung Drawn And Slaughtered” koju je Klubikon premijerno predstavio.

BLAKE – Black Panther feat. Milan Ariel Atkins (Orlando Voorn High Tech Soul Mix)
Talijanski producent i DJ BLAKE udružio je snage s Milan Ariel Atkins, kćerkom Juana Atkinsa, za traku “Black Panther” koja je izašla na EP-ju “Chapter II: Black Panther” pod njegovom etiketom TRITON RECORDS. Klubikon je premijerno predstavio “High Tech Soul Mix” kojeg potpisuje Orlando Voorn.

Kasztan – Eardeemer
Francuz Pierre-Marie Maulini, bivši član benda M83 i poznati producent STAL koji je surađivao s velikim imenima kao što Sia, VV Brown, Tinashe i Years & Years, pod novim alijasom Kasztan objavio je post-rock i techno EP “Rare Earth Elements”. Klubikon je premijerno predstavio treću traku “Eardeemer”.

Tropo – Heart Moon
Američki violinist i house producent Tropo objavio je album “Siente Tu Corazon” za britansku etiketu Gravitas Recordings. Klubikon je premijerno predstavio prekrasnu pjesmu “Heart Moon” za koju je vokale posudila američka pjevačica Ayla Nereo.

20 years is a long time in any facet of life, but in techno it is eons. The genre evolves so quickly that staying relevant for even half that time is some achievement, so to still be recognised as one of the genre’s most iconic and influential labels after such an extended period is testament to the vision of its founder Sven Väth. The popular character, much loved DJ and always innovative creative force started out with an early rave techno sound back in the late eighties that he has steered into much broader realms ever since. Thanks to carefully A&Ring a mix of red hot new talents and plenty of his original pioneering peers, Väth has ensured Cocoon has always covered all points of the spectrum: there have been hundreds of thrilling dance floor 12″s, a treasure trove of full length albums that have brought plenty of detail and depth to techno and multiple mix series including the annual Sound of the Season which distills Ibiza’s latest trends into two vital CDs, and the annual alphabet compilations which showcase the label’s finest moments.

Then, of course, there have been the parties, which have taken many forms over the years, from self-run festivals like Green and Blue & Cocoon in the Park to carefully curated label nights at the world’s foremost clubs via, most famously, their flagship and globally recognised Monday night parties in Ibiza at super clubs such as Amnesia. These very much introduced the White Isle to techno and in the 20 years since the first party have become family gatherings that have solidified the sound’s presence on the island for ever more, thanks to the world class line ups, out of this world production, colourful characters and fantastical themes that have made each session so legendary.

Cocoon’s unique brand of techno has always been at the heart for the operation and now, these brand new and exclusive 15 tracks from Rampa, Emanuel Satie, Solomun, Gregor Tresher, Joseph Ashworth, Pig&Dan, Josh Wink, Ricardo Tobar, Tiga & Roman Flügel, Planetary Assault Systems, Jacek Sienkiewicz, André Galluzzi & Daniel Stefanik, Extrawelt, Petar Dundov and Sebastian Mullaert, confirm that once again.

Despite its rich history, this fantastic collection of new and exclusive music continues to look to the future and take techno in bold new directions, just as Cocoon always has.

Cocoonovo jedinstveno viđenje techna oduvijek je bilo u srcu cijelog biznisa koji se proširio i na klupske večeri, a sve je, naravno, pažljivo kurirao sam Sven, sjajno balansirajući predstavljanje nadolazećih talenata sa suradnjama s jednako legendarnim kolegama. Sve skupa danas čini gotovo pa povijest techna i svih njegovih rukavaca. No nemojmo se dati zavarati da je ova kompilacija samo jedan nostalgičan pogled u bolju prošlost jer su stvari na njoj, naprotiv, opet duboko futurističke i kreativne te otvaraju nova vrata. Među 15 prisutnih imena nama je svakako najzanimljiviji naš Petar Dundov, koji sudjeluje sa svojom prepoznatljivom melodijskom čarolijom trake “Overtone”.
