Alexander Kowalski is a Berlin-based techno producer, also known as d_func. and DisX3, who has published his music under various labels including Tresor, Kanzlermt, Mord, [PIAS] Records, Raw Raw Recordings, Konsequent, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, and his own Damage Music Berlin.
Now, Alexander Kowalski is delivering ‘Pulsation’ EP for ODD / EVEN, a label from Germany described as “the fusion between odd and even, light and dark, and waveform and transfer”. They released original music from Alex Bau, NX1, Johannes Heil, Jonas Kopp, Pfirter, Boston 168, Fabrizio Rat, Markus Suckut, Jeroen Search, and label boss André Kronert, to name the few.
‘Pulsation’ EP comes with elegantly fused elements from classic Detroit and historical Berlin techno. Alexander Kowalski’s affection for sophisticated bass lines, deep beats and challenging arrangements breathe new life into techno. He knows perfectly how to program his tracks to sound straight, deep, housy, dubby or funky – and this versatility is one of the reasons for his reputation with both ravers and underground-oriented techno nerds.
