Rebellion, a sub-label of Crosstown Rebels ran by Damian Lazarus, presents the rising Venezuelan star Adonis Rivera. He debuts with ‘Access’, a punchy two-track EP that showcases the breakthrough talent at his best.
Flying the flag for Venezuela’s thriving musical output, Adonis Rivera is beginning to establish himself as one of the countries leading electronic musicians. With a discography that boasts releases on Besworx, Oblack Label and Oceanic Recordings, this EP on Rebellion marks a huge milestone in the young South American’s career.
We are presenting the title track, ‘Access’. Adonis explains how it “imposes its strange sounds with a rhythmic line synthesized to give movement to the dance floor.” Subtle kicks reverberate alongside pulsing synths, as warm chimes give way to a driving bassline. ‘Subversive’ comes next, “a subtle track based on micro house sounds, furrowed in a modulated bassline and a firm kick.”
