Nashville’s Body Copy returns to his Body Cuts imprint in 2020 with five deep cuts entitled ‘This Time’.
Originally from southwest Virginia, Body Copy aka Joe Dickey relocated five years back to pursue his music career in the rich musical city of Nashville. A desire to find a creative outlet for exploring his love of music production and electronic music led him to launch his Body Copy project in 2017. Body Copy comes off the back of his ‘Spirit Dance’ EP that picked up support from the likes of The Black Madonna, Justin Cudmore, Justin Robertson and many more, adding to a solid catalogue of releases which includes outings on labels such as Get Up Recordings from New York and Nashville House Syndicate.
“This whole EP was created with the dancefloor in mind. My intention was to blend all my favorite elements of acid, house, techno, and breaks into the production of these 5 new original tracks. My last EP ‘Spirit Dance’ helped highlight some of my favorite remixers but with this EP I wanted to go a bit more in depth into the individual sound of Body Copy.” – Body Copy
