Sofa Beats, the Copenhagen based sublabel of Iboga Records, is presenting a remix album ‘Breath Re-Imagined Vol. 2′ from Desert Dwellers featuring remixes from Coss & Iorie, Luca Bacchetti, Unders, Rapossa, Nhii, Derun, Alvaro Suarez, Roderic, The Invisible People (aka An-Ten-Nae), Bosa, and Forever & Ever.
With over 100 remixes of their iconic soundscapes released since Desert Dwellers’ inception over two decades ago, ‘Breath Re-Imagined Vol. 2’ brings another scintillating installment to the duo’s global music tale as producers Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe hand the building blocks of their 2019 album, ‘Breath’, over to eleven musical adepts from the realms of downtempo house and electronica for a new journey into the essence of psychedelic dance music. Spiced with the ambrosial flavors of world beat and folkloric house, this re-imagined collection brings a dreamy and evocative edge to Breath’s hypnotic themes, blending in heavier percussion and deep, technical grooves to craft a dance floor elixir that guides us further into Desert Dwellers’ shapeshifting musical visions. Marked by inclusions from a worldwide array of electronic producers, ‘Breath Re-Imagined Vol. 2’ is a sonic bridge between the old world and the new that embodies the ever-evolving nature of music as it traverses the landscapes of time, influence, and collaboration.
We are presenting a remix of ‘Dreams Within A Dream’ from Derun, a duo who has published their original music under many labels including Cosmic Awakenings and Sol Selects.
