PREMIERE: Komfortrauschen – Gym (Oliver Deutschmann Remix)

Following the success of Berlin live band Komfortrauschen‘s debut album ‘K’, Springstoff has commissioned forward-thinking remixes of it by Matthias Vogt, Oliver Deutschmann, Sylvie Maziarz and Smilla.

Laurenz Karsten, Phillip Oertel and Tim Sarhan are Komfortrauschen, one of the best live acts in the game. Their album proved that as it mixed up analogue machines with traditional instruments filtered through an impressive array of pedals and effects to make for an explosive and widescreen listen. Now it gets reworked in unique fashion by some fellow techno titans.

First up is Matthias Vogt, a fine jazz musician, pianist and producer who has proven himself over the last decade. His version of ‘Kapital’ featuring Jamila Al-Yousef is a dreamy techno cut with deep pads and warm, balmy synths floating you up to the heavens. Vidab Records label head Oliver Deutschmann is next and is another vital techno veteran. His remix of ‘Gym’ is built on pummelling kick drums that skate over cavernous sub-bass. Cosmic pads swirl all around and make this a tunneling cut for the late night hours.

Berlin’s Sylvie Maziarz is an ever more reliable techno force who has released on the likes of Flash. Her ‘Reload’ remix is an urgent techno banger with unrelenting drums and coarse percussive textures while synths get fired from a machine gun. Last but not least is the refined techno of Germany’s Sacha Mùˆller a.k.a. Smilla. His version of ‘KR#01’ pairs hefty drums with hypnotic pads to make for a wall-rattling wedge of warehouse techno.

These are visceral techno offerings ready to ignite any dance floor.

We are presenting Oliver Deutschmann’s remix of ‘Gym’.

‘K Remixes’ will be available after the 14th of October HERE.
