Ben Evers taps into bass culture on third superb EP for his Eternal Sunshine label. The fresh two-track EP, ‘Crew Love’, completes a standout first year for the imprint.
Ben Evers has had a remarkable 2024 that saw him not only launch his new label with three well-crafted new EPs but also release quality house grooves on Live At Robert Johnson. For many years, German talent Evers was best known as half of the key underground duo Adana Twins. These days, he is also finding fresh creative energy as a solo artist on the likes of Permanent Vacation and Correspondant, and he presents that once more with this latest outing.
The monstrous ‘Crew Love’ kicks off with hefty kicks and weight bass while grime bars up top bring plenty of streetwise edge. This most raw and direct track is finished with some distant eerie keys, steamy female vocals and frazzled synth blasts that are sure to cut through on any dance floor. The brilliant ‘Super Sound Riddim’ is another bass-heavy cut that is designed to be played loud on a giant sound system. Ravey horn blasts, dub chords and ragga vocals all bring carnival vibes to this bulky and party-starting house banger.
We are presenting ‘Super Sound Riddim’.
‘Crew Love’ EP will be available after the 6th of December HERE.
