The Spanish DJ and producer Hugo Rolan marks his debut on the Molecular Recordings.
Hugo Rolan, a name already synonymous with quality-techno through his releases on esteemed labels such as Jeff Mills’ Axis Records, Oscar Mulero’s Warm Up Recordings, and Tony Scott’s Edit Select, introduces his talents to Molecular Recordings’ XX Series.
Consisting of four techno tracks—‘XX 22 A1’, ‘XX 22 A2’, ‘XX 22 B1’, and ‘XX 22 B2’—the ‘XX 22’ EP showcases concise structures and flawless production, with each track characterized by entrancing synth sequences that pull the listener into its hypnotic allure. Hugo Rolan’s use of modular sounds and analogue beats resonates through complex layering and dynamic progression, creating a sonic experience that feels both raw and meticulously crafted.
