Quantize Recordings present a fabulous reimagining of France Joli’s 1981 dance classic ‘Gonna Get Over You’ by the talented singer-songwriter Angelica de No, featuring mixes by DJ Spen and Thommy Davis.
This infectious disco sparkler is set to get everyone grooving under the glitterball, as Angelica de No’s catchy soulful vocals come backed with a sumptuous soundtrack brimming with lively brass hooks, sweeping strings, Chic-style guitars and classy piano melodies, all underpinned by a funky bass groove. The production team of DJ Spen, Thommy Davis, and Michele Chiavarini have masterfully recreated ‘Gonna Get Over You’, blending classic disco glamour with contemporary dance floor flair to create a fresh vibe for 2025.
With over 20 years in the dance music scene, Angelica de No is an American born multi-cultural beauty, and daughter of renowned Flamenco singer Angel de No, who grew up surrounded by all music genres. Angelica’s recording journey started in 1997 as a reference track singer, and then quickly converted to a featured artist upon first meeting Guido Osorio in 2001. And in 2003, she hit the Billboard charts with her club classic ‘Dangerous’. Over the course of her career, Angelica has collaborated with the likes of Guido Osorio (DJ Guido of Razor and Guido), Antranig, Joeski, David Morales, MicFreak, Zonum, Patricia Starr, Exacta and Tech Us Out, just to name a few.
The reimagined ‘Gonna Get Over You’ consists of the Original Vocal Mix, Spen & Thommy’s Classic Love Break Version, Spen & Thommy’s Classic Music Mix, and Radio Edit. We are presenting the Spen & Thommy’s Classic Music Mix.
