Acclaimed US singer, songwriter and dancer, Eric Redd, reveals the first original single for his brand new label Electronic Soul Records, ‘Where There’s Life’, produced by long-time friend, collaborator and renowned producer, David Anthony.
Having both relocated to Europe in recent years, Eric Redd and David Anthony reconnected and released a dance music re-design of ‘Little Drummer Boy’ last Christmas, and are currently working on Eric’s fifth album.
‘Where There’s Life’ is a heartfelt slice of dancefloor soul about moving on and finding your space, as Eric’s smooth tones glide over a classy Soulful House soundtrack drizzled with emotive keys, a stunning sax performance and warm BV’s. The package also comes with an upbeat Club and Dub mix pumped with uplifting piano, string stabs, jackin’ beats and a playful vocals, ramping up the party vibe thermostat.
US soulful singer, songwriter, dancer, Billboard Chart topper and all-round entertainment powerhouse, Eric Redd, boasts an impressive career. As a young regular on the legendary dance show, Soul Train, later taking to the stage becoming a ballet dancer and performing all over the world, before landing at London’s West End performing in Cats and Starlight Express, Eric was then discovered by Jive Records and his recording career began. His music portfolio includes Billboard Chart club hits, ‘Breathe’ (2010), ‘Right Time’ (2017), ‘Push’ (2019), and 2 artist Grammy shortlisted albums, ‘Tears Don’t Cry’ (2022) and ‘Life….with Subtitles’ (2023). As a performer, Eric opened for Stevie Wonder, KD Lang, Coolio and more, also joining the legendary rock band, Chicago Transit Authority to perform ‘25-6 to 4’. Eric has travelled the world guesting with star acts, writing for feature films and TV, and creating a dance music catalogue on various labels. 2025 sees the full launch of his own new label Electronic Soul Records – a home for his exciting soulful projects.
David Anthony is a renowned US producer, mix engineer, musician, and label head of Planet Hum. His extensive body of work spans R&B, Dance, House, Hip-Hop, and Progressive House, collaborating with industry icons like Janet Jackson, Kelly Rowland, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Yolanda Adams, Deborah Cox, Kelly Price, Busta Rhymes, Babyface, and Crystal Waters. His productions, remixes, and engineering skills have kept him in high demand across the music industry.
