Acclaimed recording artist and vocalist for Hip Hop titans Arrested Development, Tasha LaRae continues to put her own unique stamp on the world of soulful house, revealing her brilliant second solo album ‘Right Now’ on Quantize Recordings.
International recording artist Tasha LaRae is blazing her trail around the world with soulful house and R&B vocals. Hailing from Omaha, Nebraska, relocating to Atlanta, Georgia gave Tasha the inspiration and opportunities needed to develop her unique sound. In 2008 Ms. LaRae joined hip-hop trailblazers as their new lead female vocalist and wrote and performed on several Arrested Development albums including ‘Strong’ 2009, ‘Standing At The Crossroads’ 2012, ‘Changing The Narrative’ 2016, ‘This Was Never Home’ 2016, and ‘Craft & Optics’ 2018, with the band picking up 2 x Grammy Awards on the way. In recent years, Tasha has become a star on the soulful house scene, releasing her debut solo album, ‘Tasha’, in 2019 along with many singles and collaborations, she has become a firm favourite with the Quantize Recordings fans.
Picking up where her stunning debut solo album, ‘Tasha’, left off, Tasha LaRae’s voluptuous new body of work sees her collaborate with some of the scene’s finest producer talent, including, John Morales, Neil Pierce, Beat Rivals, DJ Spen, Thommy Davis, Gershon Jackson, Kenny Jaeger, john Khan, Soullab, Yooks, Soulista and Shino Blackk. Among this heartfelt collection of exquisitely penned original songs such as ‘Better With You’ and ‘Falling In Love’, you’ll find a selection of classy re-imagined classics, including Roy Ayers’ ‘Running Away’ and Stevie’s Wonder’s ‘The Real Thing’, loaded with heavyweight instrumentation courtesy of DJ Spen, Thommy Davis and Michele Chiavarini.
