Acclaimed UK songstress and producer DJ Rae and Baltimore House legend DJ Spen join forces for the first time to deliver an uplifting dance floor gem, ‘The Vision’, for Let there Be House.
British singer, songwriter, producer, DJ Rae has a rich and credible history with house music, and a discography spanning decades, boasting remixes, productions, self-penned songs, much loved anthems and chart hits. From global DJ sets with Defected and Ministry of Sound, to front stage vocals on iconic stages, such as Glastonbury and Royal Albert Hall with The Hacienda Classical. DJ Rae is a force to be reckoned with, continuously evolving and championing her love of house music. January 2025 saw Rae take on the role of Label Head at the acclaimed Let There Be House imprint.
With a career spanning 40 years, DJ Spen of The Basement Boys, Jasper Street Company and MuthaFunkaz fame is still one of the most sought after soulful DJ’s and producers in the US. His contribution to dance music is huge! Spen co-founded the dance music label Quantize Recordings, and sub labels Unqautize, and QU3, with Baltimore’s Thommy Davis and Kelly Spencer, producing tracks from the likes of Jocelyn Brown, Barbara Tucker, Crystal Waters, Joi Cardwell, Tasha LaRae, Marc Evans, Dawn Tallman and so many more.
‘The Vision’ comes loaded with a message to unite and create positive change as DJ Rae beautifully delivers one of her signature catchy vocals wrapped in a warm soulful soundtrack. Powered by Spen’s signature bumping soulful beats, warm bass groove, teased with dreamy keys and vibraphone to raise the collective vibration on the dance floor, ‘The Vision’ is a modern classic in the making.
