House duo SHIFTY, aka Ethan Ramos and Drey Despot, are fast making big moves in the house world. The Huntington Beach residents craft precision grooves imbued with soul and warmth that have come on the likes of House Hats, IN / ROTATION, and Rawsome. With plenty of plays from Jamie Jones and Thunderpony amongst more, they are one of the breakout acts of 2025.
Opener ‘To The Bank’ is pure summer fun – a bumping cut with carefree vibes and breezy, soul-drenched vocal samples. The drums are tight and meticulously designed for maximum impact with a perfect sprinkling of melody, heavy-duty percussion, and fat bass undercurrent. ‘One Time’ is another contemporary house masterclass with kinetic drums and speedy bass racing beneath clipped male mutterings that add a moody edge to this peak-time bomb.
