Taken from Paris Cesvette’s acclaimed ‘As Above, So Below’ album release of last year, her fabulous collaboration with the legendary Frank McComb on ‘Drifting’ gets a full remix package that’s set to keep the dance floors well and truly engaged, featuring remixes by DJ Spen, Thommy Davis, Gary Hudgins, and Soulidan.
First up, the Quantize Recordings family dream team trio, DJ Spen, Thommy Davis & Gary Hudgins, bring the Baltimorean heat with a slick and deeply soulful groover complete with a flighty Harmonica solo. Also on the package, Soulidan (straight out of Tablisi, Georgia) ramps up the energy on his remix, delivering a retro fitted, playful production, injecting bouncing beats and a warm deep bass groove, all peppered with added synth hooks and atmospheric drops, destined to get the party jumping.
Paris Cesvette is recognized worldwide for her talents as a multidisciplined musician, songwriter, music producer and DJ. Aside of releases on her own label, ‘Our People, Our Music’, Paris’ productions and remixes have graced labels such as Freeze Records, Soul Heaven, Ts Box, Groove Odessey, Quantize Recordings, HouseHead London and MN2S, among many. Paris has produced and remixed the likes of Barbara Tucker, Robert Owens, Byron Stingily, Boy George, Tortured Soul, DJ Spen and Leee John (Imagination), and more.
American singer and record producer legend, Frank McComb was music director for Prince and Teena Marie and has also worked with Chaka Khan, Will Smith, Gamble & Huff, George Duke, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Phyllis Hyman and more. His amazing music talents have landing on hugely respected labels like Motown/MoJazz, Atlantic Records, Columbia Records, Malibu Sessions and his own label, Boobescoot Music during his brilliant career.
