Italian-born DJ and producer Pheelo makes his debut on Lee Foss’ flagship label Repopulate Mars with ‘Leave Me Alone’ — a three-track tech house EP featuring ‘Bombay Bomb’, ‘Leave Me Alone’, and ‘OHOH’.
“Inspired by a sonic journey between analog and digital, this release blends stripped-back grooves with constantly evolving energy. 808 drums and warm basslines—sculpted using Prophet and Moog—form the foundation of each track. I designed the basslines to open up gradually through filter cutoff movements, then close back down to make space for the drop—a contrast that creates a unique sense of tension and release on the dancefloor. Playing with vocal contrasts—deep, cutting voices layered over hypnotic textures—is where I find the most creative freedom: building dynamics that move the body while keeping the intensity high. One of the tracks carries an Indian vibe, with guitars and traditional vocals floating over deep, minimal backdrops. It’s a subtle balance between groove, pressure, and release.” – Pheelo.
Starting out in Italy’s underground DIY scene throwing his own parties, Pheelo has quickly evolved into a producer to watch, chalking up standout releases on the likes of COCO, Moan, MUSE, and Short Circuit, while earning support from heavyweights like Marco Carola and Jamie Jones. On the ‘Leave Me Alone’ EP, Pheelo distils his love for stripped-down rhythms and raw tension into a refined three-track epic.
We are presenting the opening track, ‘Bombay Bomb’.
‘Leave Me Alone’ EP will be available after October 24th HERE.
