And now it’s the turn of Sonic Soul Orchestra and Mishell Ivon to bring their musical talents to this ever green and ever brilliant label with ‘Stomp Your Feet’ EP.
Sonic Soul Orchestra and Mishell Ivon bring pure joy to the floor with their new double-sided single, comprised of ‘Stomp Your Feet’ and ‘One Love’. Leading the charge, ‘Stomp Your Feet’ is party-inducing disco house at its finest: upbeat, infectious production paired with Mishell’s rich and fervent vocals. On the flip, ‘One Love’ carries the same spirit forward, radiating positivity and demanding movement from the dancefloor. Together, they capture the timeless essence of house music, transporting listeners to an era built on pure soul and good vibes, hailing another stella release for camp King Street!
Sonic Soul Orchestra (aka JP Firmin) is an English DJ and producer based in London and Los Angeles. He started his own label Interstate Records back in early 1990, along with running his own club nights, which led him to become a booking agent for NY’s DJ Disciple, Dave Camacho and legendary vocalist Michael Watford. In the 2000’s, he began directing and managing global tours for some of the world’s biggest artists and still does today. It was during lockdown that JP became inspired to get back into making house music and since he’s unleashed a plethora of quality original productions and remixes on labels such as SoSure Music, Midnight Riot, Black Riot, Quantize, Groove Odyssey, IAH, Love To Be, LW Recordings and many more. 2025 looks like an exciting year as SSO gets set to launch his new Some Kind Of Disco label, along with more releases forthcoming on unquantize Motive Records and King Street, among others.
Singer and songwriter Mishell Ivon signed her first artist contract with production duo Irmgard Klarmann and Felix Weber, who also had works with artists such as Chaka Khan, Expose and Toni Braxton at the age of 14. With this team Mishell had releases on Dome Records and several releases on labels in Japan. Since then, Mishell Ivon has been an international singer in various bands, touring shows, as well as for film, TV and radio. She feels at home in funk, modern funk, disco, nu-disco, soulful house and many other genres, which is why many say her strength is vocal and writing versatility.
