We are presenting ‘Repurposed Snapback’, a techno track by Berlin-based DJ and producer Tim Xavier, taken from his ‘Out of My System’ LP, out November 7th via Face To Face.
Tim Xavier, gathers a year’s worth of sketches and spontaneous experiments into an eight-track mini album on his underground techno label Face To Face. ‘Out of My System’ LP captures Xavier’s instinctive and unfiltered approach to production, shaped by moments of late-night experimentation where ideas are formed quickly and guided by intuition rather than perfectionism.
Best known as a mastering and cutting engineer at Manmade Mastering in Berlin, Tim Xavier spends his days immersed in the detailed world of other artists’ music and compositions. That constant exposure becomes a source of inspiration and creative energy. He explains, “After processing so many projects, I come home and just need to get freshly conjured up ideas out of my system.”
The result is a collection of eight tracks—‘Out of My System’, ‘Mars Control’, ‘Icebox Acid Test’, ‘Nezt Gen Onslaught’, ‘Voidrunner’, ‘T r a n s i e n t’, ‘Kaufland Gurl’, and ‘Repurposed Snapback’—that feels raw yet deliberate, a series of rhythmic sketches and percussive studies that balance discipline with release. There is no grand concept here, no chase for DJ fame, just the sound of an artist letting the process lead.
We are presenting the eight track, ‘Repurposed Snapback’, that shows a seasoned producer at work, turning a corner by blending abstract, minimal sounds with distorted vocals, static hums, and raunchy 909 textures.
‘Out of My System’ LP will be available after November 7th HERE.
