Boom Merchant closes 2025 with ‘Transpacific’, a looming techno EP that layers deep atmospherics with raw percussion and grinding basslines.
‘Transpacific’ EP will be available via his Tribal Pulse record label, which is a main source for his music. Boom Merchant has a gripping style that takes traditional techno grooves, and intertwines them with innovative off-kilter samples. This gives his style a unique sound that stands out from the crowd, and this release is another fine-example.
Hailing from Ireland, but currently living in Mexico, Boom Merchant has travelled the globe as a headline DJ. His DJ style finds a sweet spot between depth and aggression, which is something he also translates into the music he makes. In addition to his many releases on Tribal Pulse, Boom Merchant’s tracks can also be found on other imprints such as T78’s Autektone Dark, La La’s Brand New Records, Black Square Recordings, and many others.
‘Transpacific’ EP features four tracks, ‘Kamakura’, ‘Senso-Ji’, ‘Shinbashi’, and ‘Different Routes Home’.
We are presenting ‘Kamakura’, the opening track with popping percussion and slicing hi-hats, underscored by an ominous bassline with grinding tones.
