The top-selling Brazilian artist G. Felix brings two shadowy tech house cuts from his upcoming ‘REBORN’ LP to Lee Foss’ label Repopulate Mars.
G. Felix is an accomplished musician and DJ with 18 years in electronic music after his beginnings as a rock frontman. His releases on Armada, Spinnin’, Sola and multiple outings on Repopulate Mars – a label he has long cited as a dream home for his music – have earned major chart success and support from the likes of Tiësto, John Summit, Jamie Jones, Vintage Culture and more. After leading Brazil’s tech house sales rankings in 2020, he now enters a new era with a fresh sonic identity, a hybrid analogue-driven live show and his RealSyck label, which launched alongside his concept-driven new album ‘REBORN’. Ahead of the full album release, G. Felix returns to Lee Foss’ Repopulate Mars to preview two tracks from the LP: ‘11.0 (TimeVision)’ and ‘10.0 (The Cosmo’s Purpose)’.
“Both tracks are part of my REBORN Album, a project built on a deep message and ideology. The album has two chapters, and these tracks belong to Chapter One: “The Big Bang.” The music was crafted to be experienced in sequence, like a continuous mix, each track flowing into the next while moving through different styles.” – G. Felix
‘11.0 (TimeVision)’ is a deep, thumping and taut groove that’s marbled with alien life forms and sci-fi motifs. A foreboding vocal adds to the menace of the bassline before snappy hits and a euphoric vocal stab ensure maximum impact in the club. ‘10.0 (The Cosmo’s Purpose)’ follows with another gritty, raw cut with filth in the bass and eeriness in the spaces between the beats. A classic house vocal gets twisted into something futuristic with sleek synths injecting urgency to this stark and compelling tech house sound.
We are presenting ‘10.0 (The Cosmo’s Purpose).
‘REBORN’ EP will be available after January 23rd HERE.
