German producer Tetzlaff releases two retro-styled, electro tracks on his Melodien der Ewigkeit label.
Tetzlaff is the alter ego of Rico Friebe who is more recently known for his 4 EPs and compilation appearances on Cocoon Recordings as Rico Puestel. He resides in the Southern periphery of Kiel, Northern Germany, primarily focused on writing and composing music throughout a diversified stylistic spectrum with a former background in musicology. The idea of his Tetzlaff character came up in 1995 when he was 8 years old, based on his particular penchant for that precise name. He developed first song drafts back then that underwent further fit-out throughout the course of more than 2 centuries – happening completely in secret and without communicating it to anyone.
Melodien der Ewigkeit (Melodies of Infinity) is the brainchild of Rico Friebe rooted in a thoroughly German nature and contextually deals with the era of post-industrialization, technology and basic needs and questions of a modern life by following a sense of minimalism throughout composing and production.
‘Reisen’ EP illuminates two perspectives and homages to travelling, based on lyrical drafts and a melodic main theme written by Rico in 1995. It is the vanguard single of this limited project, performing within the prospective shadows of something bigger to come…
We are presenting the first track ‘Reisen 1’.
‘Reisen’ EP will be available after the 11th of September HERE.
