The team behind Jannowitz Records is finally ready to share “the sexy and soulful side of the JAW label group,” with the creation of Jaw Dropping Records ran by Rachel Raw. The sound will be very different from that of Jannowitz Records. As revealed to us earlier this year by label boss BOHO, the sound is even “more deep and vocal with more elements of house and electronic pop music.” Their first release is ‘Rot’ EP from GRAU, complemented with remixes from Nihil Young aka Less Hate and André Gazolla.
Together Anna Lanfer and Niko Stoessl are GRAU, a live electronic duo based in Berlin. They describe their music as “something between electro pop and house; between melodic and driving; between straightforward and diverse, but always fluid and expertly crafted.”
We present to you a slow, melodic, deep, dark and mysterious title track titled ‘Rot’. Anna’s voice harmonizes perfectly with the distorted synths, while the track lives off these very short breaks every now and then that drive you crazy just for a quick second before the beat drops again.
