Curiosity Music, a young French label ran by Swann Decamme, is presenting its 19th release, after publishing original music from Tom Zeta and Raul Facio amongst others. ‘Expressa’ EP from the French duo Mundopal is composed of five tracks with varied sounds, oscillating between heady techno, sharped tech-house and cold techno minimal, complemented with the remix from excellent Dutch producer Joran Van Pol.
Mundopal is a Parisian duo created in 2014 by producer and arranger Victor Gascon and sound engineer Kévin Heuzé. Their productions are both a tribute to the classics and an ode to new experiences, which is perfectly reflected in ‘Expressa’ EP.
“This EP is mostly related to a period when we played a lot of DJ sets. Our playlists were rather techno. Given the evolution of the Paris scene in the past two or three years, we wanted something a little lighter, less violent, with well-placed snares and soft bass. As we produce a lot we have plenty of pieces that take dust in forgotten hard drives. For this EP, we have somehow elected some, which is also quite unfair to the forgotten ones,” explain Kevin and Victor.
We are presenting the fourth track, a techno cut ‘Prisma’.
