Self-styled “personal bass masseuse” Dubesque returns to the Dense & Pika‘s Kneaded Pains label with two punchy and powerful cuts on the ‘Cloak & Dagger’ EP.
The Austrian DJ and producer has been busy of late, firing out quality releases for labels such as Eats Everything and Andres Campo’s EI8HT imprint, Tiga’s Turbo Recordings and Arcane Music.
A thunderous production is accomplished on ‘Cloak & Dagger’, as a prophetic vocal hook takes centre stage on this dynamic and thumping big room techno track. Accompanying cut ‘Automatic’ utilises some rhythmic toms for added funk pressure, as incessant keys and vocal chops stab intently over a swinging groove.
