Barcelona based DJ and producer Bastian Bux has been firing out exemplary releases for labels like Sven Vath’s Cocoon Recordings, Bedrock, MOOD, Suara, Tronic, and a whole host more over the last five years, and on the ‘Outliers’ EP, he cues up a trio of techno heaters for Eats Everything and Andres Campo’s EI8HT imprint.
‘Algon’ is a finely tuned slab of mechanical tech-funk, as vivacious bleepy melodies, floating horns and snappy claps rest over a steadfast beat, whilst ‘Like That’ utilises a choppy vocal sample with loopy synth riffs and clever drops. Bringing up the rear, ‘Ocho’ teams up wigged out distorted acid bass and resolute modular tones for a raw, deep down and dirty techno jam!
