PREMIERE: Bawrut – Freedom

Stolen Goods Records label head Lele Sacchi teams up with Bawrut for split ‘B2B 2’ EP.

For the second release of Lele Sacchi’s Stolen Goods Records’ back-to-back series, Sacchi, a pillar of the Italian scene, and SGR label staple Bawrut join forces for the split ‘Freedom’ and ‘Flim Flam’ drop. It follows up ‘B2B1’, which featured the funky sounds of Rogue D, vocals of Joe Le Groove and the raw house grooves of Ruff Stuff, which won plays from Laurent Garnier and love from the likes of Jamie Jones and Oliver Dollar.

First up is Ransom Note, Life & Death and Correspondant affiliate Bawrut’s ‘Freedom’, an acid-infused trip marked by a foreboding atmosphere. Cut-up vocals keep pace with linear breakbeat samples while 303 arps drench the background, making for a hands-in-the-air, goosebump-inducing warehouse track.

‘Flim Flam’ by Lele Sacchi is next. It sees the former NTS host and Snatch!, Nervous Records and Crosstown Rebels artist build an infectious, hard-hitting house beat. It comes complete with soothing pads, an earworm synth line, and a subtle acid sequence perfect for the peak time, closing out another excellent release made by clubbers, for clubbers, on the Stolen Goods Records label responsible for top-draw releases by the likes of Elisa Bee and Black Loops.

We are presenting ‘Freedom’ by Bawrut.

‘B2B 2’ EP will be available after the 19th of April HERE.
