German house talent Ben Evers, one half of Adana Twins, continues his solo mission and explores new realms of creative freedom with his latest EP on Live At Robert Johnson.
Ben Evers is best known for being half of the accomplished Adana Twins duo. With that project he has landed on plenty of the world’s most notable record labels and played gigs on every major continent. As a solo artist he brings influences from his hip-hop and r&b roots to his work on the likes of Correspondant and Permanent Vacation while also running his own Planet TAU empire and expressing his individuality in newfound ways.
This latest release opens up with ‘Get To Me’ which is almost eight minutes of scintillating house music with electrifying synths bringing light and energy to the punchy drums. A smarty deployed vocal hook tugs at the heart strings as the wiry pads bring cosmic energy and uplifting emotions to this classy party starter. The fantastic ‘The Feeling’ is a more heads down cut that is defined by a rugged synth phrase that surges onwards through the midst of the mid tempo groove. It’s dubby and well weighted with acid tinges and nebulous vocal sounds all adding to the emotional intensity of this late night trip.
We are presenting the second track ‘The Feeling’.
‘The Feeling’ EP will be available after the 9th of August HERE.
