Australian-based techno artist Eddie Hale is delivering his second album ‘Vanishing Point’ on his label Denude.
The expansive new body of work, ‘Vanishing Point’ album, draws inspiration from a silent meditation retreat he undertook in 2023. From the axis of a quietened mind, the unfolding of nine meticulously crafted pieces of music could be considered ephemeral meditations in their own right. Observations of phenomena rising and falling within, through regular focused time spent in the studio sculpting interstellar transmissions and grounding them in the physical realm.
Whilst the ‘Vanishing Point’ album reflects the floor-friendly techno that Eddie Hale is known for, it also takes excursions into more genre-fluid territory showing that not only is he a maturing artist, but also one worth paying attention to in the ever-expanding ocean of electronic music available in 2024.
Exploring a wide range of textures and shapes, one is taken deep into a world where anything is possible. Standout track ‘Affinity’ with its incessant raw beats and timeless melodic beauty sits juxtaposed against electronica-facing excursions such as ‘Black Rock’. Observer reflects on the roots of the techno blueprint, whilst aiming the arrow firmly at the target of what techno can be; pure unadulterated futurism.
Remaining true to his unmistakable signature sound, Eddie Hale presents an honest and unique sonic soundscape that is unafraid to step beyond the stifling homogeny that plagues modern techno and into a world that optimistically pushes forward.
We are presenting the fifth track, ‘Black Rock’.
‘Vanishing Point’ album will be available after the 18th of October HERE.
