Gravitational Forces is a new underground techno label from CMPND (BE) in Belgium and the inaugural EP welcomes UK talent Dorbachov with four original works.
Damien O’Reilly aka Dorbachov is a Manchester-based artist from Northern Ireland who has signed on labels such as Roman Zawodny’s UKR, ALNA’s OUT OF CONTROL, Wunderblock, Room 2, and Haute, to name just a few.
‘Anena’ EP consists of four techno tracks. The opening track ‘Anena’ begins with a rough and ready stomping groove lit up by a strong ’90s flair and infectious energy. ‘Eternal Twilight’ follows with a pulsing bassline met with deep chords and a shuffling percussion creating an introspective vibe with dance floor appeal. ‘Synapse’ uses a hypnotic hook over a thumping kick drum that turns into a powerful trip of heady, purist techno. Finally, ‘The Gannet’ works an uptempo rhythm with stabbing modular tones and classy percussion hits, while a cool vocal chop pushes this raw ride into even higher heights.
