PREMIERE: Whøman – Can’t Stop Won’t Stop

Rebekah presents ‘Go Hard Or Go Hardcore’: a compilation of the underground’s hardest sounds that fuse the 30 year legacy of Hardcore with the raw intensity of Hard Techno’s most futuristic.

Released over four separate EP’s, the colossal 20 track VA offers an unfeigned collection of the finest that hard techno has to offer, from 19 artists plus a new collab from Rebekah.

A new year, and a new chapter. Every artist, regardless of their discipline, needs to evolve. And that’s exactly what Rebekah is doing in 2024. A new movement with her Go Hard or Go Hardcore brand that will encapsulate releases, events, and merchandise. On the 25th April Rebekah will host a GHOGH Showcase with HÖR Berlin, with 3 artists from the VA joining her, followed by a GHOGH Club night at Club OST in Berlin. Expect future announcements from May, about her exciting ‘All Night Long’ events which will be running throughout the summer, with six planned in total.

2023 saw the rise of hard techno and an influx of new producers adding to their take to the ever-expanding sub-genre. Playing with this theme and instigating what this new sound might eventually turn into, Rebekah has curated the first VA in her Go Hard Or Go Hardcore series to be released at the end of April.

All tracks offer a relentlessly fact paced drive, embodying the current hard sounds movement, opening with Whøman’s sinister ‘Can’t Stop Won’t Stop’, other tracks from The Sin Project, Stoltenhoff, Skoden and NineTed offer full throttle hardcore bangers, with unrelenting percussion, blistering synth work, warping basslines accompanied by a selection of vocal hooks.

AJA and Gemma Furbank take their tracks down a more industrial and experimental route with pulsating synths and rattling percussion. Linear, industrial, and hard hitting in their composition, Krista Bourgeois, Lady Maru and Supercontinuum’s tracks and their intricate rhythms, corrosive basslines.

Vocal samples are prevalent throughout the VA, tracks from Sopik, Franky-B and Masicaya are insanely catchy, making them the most upbeat, bouncy hardstyle tracks around, whilst Patrick DSP’s ‘Dark Matter’ is a rich and moody, yet unrelenting and chaotic in pace.

Not forgetting a standout brand-new collaboration from Rebekah with Malke for their track ’The Way’. the pair create an archetypal hard techno structure brimming with dramatic breakdowns, featuring a throbbing stadium-grade bass with erratic synth lines that invade the later stages of the track with a creeping, relentless vigour.

This is a VA that encompasses all that hardcore is, with a little bit of everything in between. Tracks that have been tried and tested on dancefloors across Europe and are ready to make an addition to any hard DJ’s sets this year.

We are presenting the opening track ‘Can’t Stop Won’t Stop’ from Whøman.
