Soul Clap Records presents ‘Red Hot’, a house EP by American DJ and producer Papa Lu.
Bay Area born and raised DJ and producer Papa Lu is family to Soul Clap, and he recently made his move to Los Angeles where he is making his mark on the house music scene. Lu has steadily been building his collection of acid tinged, funky house burners, while also exploring Latin house. For his debut on Soul Clap Records, he teams up with vocalist Astu on the thumping ‘Red Hot’ a fast paced house track with interlocking funk elements built to rock the dancefloor.
DJ, producer and the multi-hyphenate The Whooligan joins Papa Lu on the flip, titled ‘Starting To Rise’, which continues the disco house vibe. Once the beat drops, a strong Latin rhythm takes over with layers of syncopated percussion, adding a strong Cumbia house flavor to the diverse mix.
